We are UNL's only club focused on learning to develop video games. All are welcome and there are no pre-requisites to join. Visit the contact page to get in touch with us or to join the Discord community.
Our mission: To guide students in learning effective professional game design techniques. We accomplish this by working through game development projects in our meetings, such as demos or active projects. We also provide students the opportunity to showcase their skills at game development competitions ("game jams").
The UNL Game Development Club will meet online on Sundays at 7PM Central for the foreseeable future per request of the UNL Computer Science department. If you are interested in participating, please join the Discord on the contact page.
Join us on Sunday, April 18th at 7PM as we provide some extra team time for each team to finish up their games! This means that the team time will go from 7PM-9PM and there will be no demo. This meeting will be held on our Discord server in the General voice channel. Please join the Discord server at 7 PM Central if you would like to participate!
Over the course of the Spring 2021 semester, 4 teams of club members created full game demos. They are being judged on Saturday, April 24th and the winner will be announced during the showcase. In the showcase, all four teams will be presenting their games, which will be available for anyone to play on the club website soon. After the showcase and awards, the club will be playing online games together such as Jackbox and Skribbl.io. This meeting will be held on our Discord server in the General voice channel. Please join the Discord server at 7 PM Central if you would like to participate!
